The URL you copied from the database no longer works because it was only valid while you were searching the database. If you want a URL that will let you re-open an item in our library's databases, click on the item's title and look for something called a "permanent link", a "permalink", or a "document URL". Depending on the database you're using, this may be in a toolbar (either as "Permalink" or as "Embed/Link"), or it may be included in the information about the item. See the attached screenshots for examples from different databases. You'll need to copy and save the entire URL.
TIP: If you e-mail the item to yourself from the database, a permanent link will always be included.
